	This place is recalled with reverence as the pearl of the Baltic, the jewel of the seashore, a wonderful example of natural art. Those who look for beauty, harmony and peace believe that they can find true heaven there. The Curonian Spit (Kuršių nerija), a unique corner of nature, which amazes everyone by its majestic symphony of sand dunes, was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List under the category “cultural landscape”. This most valued and protected area of Lithuania is also fragile and could be harmed by various sources and means. In order to maintain this unique and attractive place, sandstorms have to be fought and man-made damage has to be repaired and prevented. Ją vadina gražiausiais vardais – Baltijos perlu, pajūrio puošmena, nuostabiu gamtos kūriniu, o ieškantieji grožio, harmonijos ir ramybės čia atranda rojų. Kuršių neriją, unikalų gamtos kampelį, stulbinantį didinga smėlio kopų simfonija, UNESCO įrašė į Pasaulio paveldo sąrašą. Kad ši moteriškai trapi ir bet kokiems iššūkiams itin jautri vertingiausia Lietuvos saugoma teritorija išliktų savita bei patraukli, nuolat tenka kovoti ir su žmogaus klaidomis, ir su smėlį pustančiais vėjais.
